So far, Corpus Christi LIVESTRONG© Day Corpus Christi has been wonderful and completely inspiring. We started out our day at City Hall where Mayor Henry Garrett proclaimed May 13^th LIVESTRONG© Day in the city of Corpus. Army leaders, Rebecca and Robert accepted the proclamation and thanked the mayor and the council for their support of the local LIVESTRONG© Army, as well as their support of the over 12 million people affected by cancer.

I am at my second LIVESTRONG Day event in Florence, Alabama. Shannon Mcbride and her committee did an amazing job organizing a fun event with live music, balloons and LAF materials. They distributed over 200 wristbands and shared our mission with the local community. It was a blast to be a part of it.

Through both events in Birmingham and Florence, we were able to unite people in the fight against cancer.

Now, I am hitting the road to head back to Birmingham!

I just attended my second event in Columbia, South Carolina. Stuart Morgan, cancer advocate and local LIVESTRONG Army Leader, hosted an awareness event at the South Carolina State House. This is one of the most prominent locations in SC, and it is such a beautiful LIVESTRONG Day here. The governor of South Carolina declared today LIVESTRONG Day South Carolina, and Stuart and volunteers passed out LAF brochures and wristbands to members of the South Carolina legislature and recruited people to join the LIVESTRONG Army.
