AUSTIN!!! It’s that time again, time for the LIVESTRONG Challenge. We’ve got more than 7,000 registered participants and more than 800 volunteers set to go this weekend, and we can’t wait! This is the biggest event of the 2009 Challenge series and there’s a lot going on. We’re holding registration packet pickup today from noon until 7 pm at the Austin Convention Center. That will be followed by a special appreciation dinner for our top fundraisers.

Others will be there in celebration of life, many having just finished some form of treatment themselves, others celebrating the life of a friend or loved…
Despite the less than perfect weather we had an amazing day in Portland. The Nike campus was the site for our “mini-challenge” and we had great participation from all the Nike employees and Team Rubicon (a professional cycling team that also does amazing outreach for the foundation). Special thanks to Nike and Norrene Godfrey for helping pull off this great event.
