LIVESTRONG staff have made it to South Africa to attend the Cape Argus Cycling Tour, hosting a booth at the tour’s expo and meeting survivors all over Cape Town. Chris Brewer opens the week with a great video featuring the Cape Argus race director, Lance and patients at the Groote Shuur Hospital.

The Cancer Research Act
I would like to thank you for the wrist bands we received yesterday at the Argus.
I also took one for my dad who we expect have cancer from smoking. He sees a specialist on 31/03/2010.
Dad introduced my child to the Tour de France via TV.
We adopted Theo at the age of 8 and since then he
is a great supporter/admiror from Lance and lives his dream to be like Lance.
He also took part in the Argus 2009 and 2010.
Now at the age of 17 he still dreams the dream.
What a great idea to think about our loved ones going through or who have died of cancer by wearing this yellow bands – Thank you.
Regards
