The organizers of the Austin City Limits Music Festival announced a new stage partnership for this year’s Festival, happening October 2-4 at Zilker Park. One of the stages will be named in support of LIVESTRONG. Although LIVESTRONG is a well recognized non-profit organization in Austin, we hope our presence at the ACL Fest will raise further awareness and generate new supporters. Naming rights for these stages were a gift of the Festival; no donor funds were utilized to acquire the stage name rights.

Some of the bands gracing the LIVESTRONG stage are Kings of Leon, Dave Matthews Band and Peal Jam.

The music festival is named after the long running PBS show “Austin City Limits”. When it comes to presenting live music, the television show accomplishes what no other show has done in the history of American television. For more than 30 years it has presented audiences with the most diverse, original, cutting-edge talent music has to offer.

Tickets to this year’s ACL Festival are sold-out. Visit www.aclfest.com for schedules and show information.

My nephew lost his fight with cancer last wednesday 9-9-09. He fought hard for 8 months.
He was in the most recent Nike commercial with Lance for tour de france. His name was Logan Phillips and he was the one getting up out of bed. He was very sick when he did this commercial.

I forgot to mention Logan had just turned 21.
