Lance,
I hope you get well soon. Your such a inspiration to so many people! My brother died of Liver Cancer several years ago. And for the first time I walked for Relay for Life. What a experince that was. I knew that I was not alone. That in my small little town of Hood River, OR there were so many people those lives were effected in some way or another by cancer. And I know that there are so many more people who are effected.
Stay strong, and I wish you all the best. My prayers are with you.
Erin
Speedy recovery, Lance! It might set you back a little but I’m sure that you will continue to push on and defy yet one more obstacle!!
“Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It is a very mean and nasty place and it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain’t how hard you hit; it’s about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward. How much you can take, and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done. Now, if you know what you’re worth, then go out and get what you’re worth. But you gotta be willing to take the hit, and not pointing fingers saying you ain’t where you are because of him, or her, or anybody. Cowards do that and that ain’t you. You’re better than that!”
Rocky Balboa

Crash? broken bones? what are you getting old?
GET ON TOUR BIKE AND RIDE!!
Nothing can keep a good Texan down!
Be well soon!
Lance: Now we have two things in common. I lost a testicle to cancer in 1971 and broke a collarbone biking in 2004. At 64 I’m still livingstrong so at 37 I’m sure you’ll recover and be back in it soon.
Rest, Recover, and come back to continue to Kick ASS !!! You needed a new challenge! Hope will continue to ride again !!
I commiserate. No racing war story here, but 25 days ago, I had a Grade 3 A-C Separation, (ligaments are toast but no clavicle break) coming home from a ride with Velo LaGrange in Santa Monica. I was two blocks from home.
Since I am not an (ahem!) elite athlete, no surgery. I trust I will get back on my bike, and so will you.
LANCE GET WELL SOON!!!
YOU HAVE NOTHING TO PROVE, RELAX AND GET WELL!
Howie
You are always an inspiration! Now, Lance, show us your best recovery face.

I know that you will be back on your bike soon. I also would love to see you win the Giro, and be involved in the Tour de France!!! Jacquie (PEETIEGIRL) Albulet
Lance,
I know you will probably never see this, but I wish you the best of luck recovering. I was recently in a terrible accident where a car turned left in front of me while riding. It’s going to be awhile before I can ride again and take a lot of effort, but you’ve been an enormous inspiration. You’re an incredible man and I’m thankful to have you as a hero. Hope will Ride Again

Greetings, Ronald F.D. Beintema
You are in my prayers. Feel better….
Lance – You’re my Hero !! Feel Better Soon…
You are a very built person, to not hurt the deer. Yes you lost time, but you endorsed your training.
I had a bicycle accident, back in April 1995.
What used to be a bike path, has turned into rollerblade butthead. Who don’t care about their momentumg(speed movement), destroying what used to be safe bike paths. That was in Venice, CA. I can’t tell you what happened after that. ICU comma at UCLA, and thoses other folks, wanted to sue me.
Now I’m considered Permanent Disability, under the Fed USA. Good movement not to hurt/kill the deer.
It was only 21 years ago, I went on a LA Wheelmans ride, 202 miles form Malibu CA. It was not easy, having a flat around Oxnard, before the lunch break at Ojai. Then the long track back to the 101 and back to Malibu.
It started around 7am, and ended around 8pm. The sky had turned into medium blue then, loss of sun.
Please take care of your body, and mind.
I hope you keep up to your life, with your exercise, and knowledge of bicycling.
Take care, and good luck!
Hi Lance:
I hope you can recovery well from your injuries, and also hope you can race the next TDF, in order to acomplish your back to race on the highest level of cycling.
Best regards.
Get well soon. I’m sure you know what an inspiration you are to all of us.
Dear Lance;
You are the champ! You will always be the champ.
This incident can be a “bummer” or a wake up call.
I take this as a message – no need to race anymore.
Do you not think that there are other avenues to explore if you only devote some quiet time to allow them to show themselves to you!
Heal in your mind and body.
Best wishes,
Marla
