Baton Rouge, LA

It was a beautiful day in Baton Rouge, LA for my colleague Kim and I. We started the day off visiting Marc and his co-workers at HCS Infusion Network where longtime LAF supporter Marc sold home-made lunches to his co-workers. He had smoked chicken, baked beans, salad, bread and an amazing sheet cake topped off with yellow icing. He also sponsored a “Wear Yellow” day in the office. Then we moved on to Challenge mentor and longtime LAF supporter Jennifer’s awesome Wear Yellow Bike Ride and Run along River Road. Kim and I even ran the 4 mile course along the levee! Jennifer organized an amazing ride with tons of folks showing up in yellow and picking up wristbands, information and LIVESTRONG Army T-Shirts.

I’d like to thank both Marc, Jennifer and her amazingly supportive husband Carl for their hospitality and kindness during our trip to Baton Rouge. Thank you for the best trip ever!

On Wednesday morning we got up bright and early to meet Mandy, a trainer with CAP Elite. She hosted a Wear Yellow event during her morning workout classes. We were excited to be there!
