White Plains, NY

May 13th, 2008 by Allison Wright (LAF Staff)

Hey everyone! Allison Wright here coming to you from White Plains, NY at O’Tooleapalooza Golf Tournament at Weschester Hills Golf Club. O’Tooleapalooza was organized in memory of John O’Toole, a brain cancer survivor and dedicated member of the LIVESTRONG Army who passed away in early 2007.

John’s wife Erin and her family and friends have put on a terrific event for LIVESTRONG Day. We started the morning with a lovely brunch and are now a few holes into a great day of golf. Longtime friends of the Foundation - Michael Wolf, Ilene Winters and Charles Mulea are also here! Tonight we’ll have a dinner and silent auction where they’re projected to raise more than $20,000 for the LAF and Accelerate Brain Cancer Cure.

Erin’s eight-year-old son Sean is also raising money for his Philly Challenge account today. He’s riding 10 miles this year in memory of his dad and is up to $150 in his account. Way to go Sean! If you want to join Sean for the Philly Challenge, or participate in Portland, San Jose or Austin, today’s the day to join. Register for the Challenge today at www.livestrongchallenge.org and enter discount code LSDAY08 and registration is 1/2 price (only $25) in honor of LIVESTRONG Day.

That’s all from White Plains - happy LIVESTRONG Day, everyone!!
