I’m at Citizens Medical Center in Victoria, Texas, where the hospital is having a great event for survivors. Linda braaten, who will go get chemo in an hour, is the local organizer.

She created a tribute wall with survivor stories and awarded mvp medals to patients and their families. We’re going to tour the cancer center now, and the local news is here.

This is the main event out of seven that is hosted here – the Mayor proclaimed it LIVESTRONG Day. More to come!

We have been absolutely astounded over the past couple of months as entries for the LIVESTRONG at School contest have been turned in to the LAF. I am so excited LIVESTRONG Day is here, and I am attending a number of events in South Carolina today. LIVESTRONG Day organizer Paul Young kicked the day off at a local Walmart here in Columbia. Paul will be supported by his Walmart colleagues, and they will be helping him ride a stationary bike for 12 hours today.
