We’re going to go ahead and call it a night. We will make sure we get all the late night posts from today up tomorrow. It’s been amazing to read the posts from my colleagues as they have come in. To all of you out there who we posted about today, to all of you out there who held events today and to all of you out there who support us in so many other ways – the spirit that you show in this fight is amazing and inspiring. Its been a great day here in Las Vegas. Helen and I spent the morning with the folks at CUT slicing and dicing the event guest list – a who’s who of Las Vegas. Turns out the politics of who sits next to who here is a big to do and the jockeying for position was cause for a lot of concern.
In the afternoon, we assembled all of the gifts for the guests and watched as the CUT crew transformed the restaurant. It looks amazing. Now the waiting game begins. Guests are soon to arrive and the cross-country-crew is a…
What an amazing day in Richmond! I spent the afternoon at Images Main Street Salon where the staff was looking good in their LIVESTRONG gear and celebrating survivorship with a yellow paper chain honoring people affected by cancer. The afternoon featured tasty snacks, a juggler/magician and a balloon artist.
This evening I was off to another great Richmond event. I met up with event organizers Sarah and Dave Birckhead and many others to compete in a team footrace/treasure hunt all around the city. The race was so much fun and proved to be the perfect way to see the city & get…

The first lap of the ride was dedicated to the LAF and Matt Gunnell, president of the Pasadena Athletic Association cycling club talked about LIVESTRONG Day to the over 100 cyclists.
Happy LIVESTRONG Day from beautiful San Jose, CA! This city is pumped up for LIVESTRONG Day√¢‚Ǩ¬¶so much so that the Mayor Chuck Reed officially declared it LIVESTRONG Day during their city council meeting this afternoon. I had the honor of joining long time LAF volunteer Linda Santos as she received a plaque commemorating the proclamation. Linda√¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢s life has been heavily impacted by this devastating disease, having lost both of her parents and her beloved sister 6 years ago. When her sister passed away, Linda summoned the courage to board a plane to Austin Texas to volunteer for the Ride for the Roses. The…
