Amazing- he is a true inspiration, for both sports fans and the cancer community.

P.S.: Randy Pausch (You know, the professor whose "Last Lecture" was featured on the internet) just got out of hospital, after they had to get rid of some fluids around his lungs. Instead of getting home and recover, he travels to Waschington, D.C. to testify before Congress and advocate better funding for pancreatic cancer.

Lance Mackey's achievement is more incomprehensible than many people realize. To win BOTH the Yukon Quest and the Iditarod in two consecutive years is a level of dominance that has never been witnessed in modern mushing.

It's sort the dog-racing equivalent of Lance A.'s sixth victory in the Tour de France; it has simply never been done before.

Lance M. certainly is an inspiration, just as Lance A. is. Keep strong, guys!

I've followed the Iditarod all my life, and Mackey winning this year and last year after mushing 1,000 two weeks earlier both times in winning the Yukon Quest, is unprecedentedly amazing.

Lance M truly caught his closest rival napping. I may have to go dig out our taped copy of the 2001 TDF Stage of the climb up "Le Alpe Du Huez" and watch it again this evening.

Both the 2008 Iditarod and 2001 TDF had closely matched, classy champions in epic battles. In both cases the competitors had the utmost respect for each other.

It's legendary events like these that make me a sports fan.

It's amazing cancer survivors like these that make me so deeply involved in the cancer survivorship cause.
