Unite and Fight Cancer - Texas Prop 15

September 6th, 2007 by Lance Armstrong

Yesterday I had the opportunity to speak at an event in Houston to support Prop 15, a Texas ballot initiative that would deliver $3 billion dollars in funding to stimulate cancer research at the state level. As we all know federal funding for cancer research has gone down over the last couple of years, and state level support like this will go a long way in helping to fill that void.

The event was held at Rice University, where 45 years ago this week President John F. Kennedy stood and delivered his “man on the moon” speech.

Here is a story from the event.
