Quick Links

June 22nd, 2007 by Lance Armstrong

Hey everyone. I’ve been enjoying a little summer vacation with my kids and have been busy with sponsor and Foundation work. Since I had a few minutes today, I wanted to throw up a couple of links.

First is a story about a guy named Tony Griffin.Tony is a professional athlete in Ireland. He plays a sport called hurling, which if you have not seen you should check it out (it is one of the sickest sports I have seen). Tony’s dad passed away in 2005 from lung cancer, and Tony has taken a year off to train for and complete a fundraising ride across Canada and Ireland to raise money for the LAF and two other cancer charities.

Second is a blog by Larry O’Reilly, who is a member of the LAF endowment board. Larry, similar to Tony, decided to hop on his bike, and ride across the United States to raise money and awareness in the fight against cancer. Larry’s blog has tons of pictures of his adventure and is definitely worth checking out.

I’m proud to call these guys part of our LIVESTRONG Army.

LIVESTRONG,
Lance
