We had another public reminder of the toll that cancer is taking on our country last night. Senator Craig Thomas (R – Wyoming) passed away from leukemia at the age of 74.
I had the chance to meet Senator Thomas and his wife Susan last year at LIVESTRONG Day.The thing that impressed me about Senator Thomas is the fact that he always made time for the LAF and our advocates. Due to scheduling our advocates often meet with senior level staffers when we are there, but Senator Thomas always found time to meet with his constituents face-to-face.
My thoughts are with Susan and their four kids.
LIVESTRONG,
Lance
