NYC - Day 2

February 14th, 2007 by Lance Armstrong

I am going to be running around most of today, so I won’t have a chance to post anything later. I am meeting with Mayor Bloomberg and then will be off to get ready for my appearance on the Colbert Report.

I also wanted to take a second today to send my condolences to the family of Buddy McAtee. Buddy lost his battle with cancer on Monday. I got to know Buddy at the last years Indy 500 weekend. I was fortunate enough to be at the IU Gala fundraiser where Buddy was honored. That evening he gave a very passionate speech about his fight with cancer and how much it had taught him.

In addition to his role as President, COO and Executive Producer of Indianapolis Motor Speedway Productions, Buddy was a tireless supporter and friend of the Indiana University Cancer Center. Buddy was the embodiment of the word LIVESTRONG - he was a true survivor.

LIVESTRONG,

Lance
