A little fun

January 15th, 2007 by Lance Armstrong

I hope you all had a chance to watch “Saving your Life” this weekend. Watching that special reminded me what an amazing weekend the LIVESTRONG Summit was.

I’m off to Iowa this week to give a speech to the Greater Des Moines Chamber of Commerce..more on that later this week.

Over the weekend I got away to the Bahamas for a little fun. While I was there I had a chance to spend some time with Sidney Poitier, one of the classiest and coolest guys I’ve ever met. He invited me to go fishing with him and two interesting things happened…

First, Sidney let me know that he is a prostate cancer survivor, so I spent some time telling him what we are up to and hopefully recruiting him to be a voice for the army. The second was that I caught the largest fish (an Amberjack) I have ever caught. He gave me a pretty gnarly fight but in the end I won.

Couldn’t help but share some pics….
